Best Practice Framework for Online Safety Education
Australia’s eSafety Commissioner has published their Best Practice Framework for Online Safety Education which aims to establish a consistent national approach that supports education systems across Australia to deliver high quality programs, with clearly defined elements and effective practices.
The research underpinning this work found that several online safety education frameworks exist but none are comprehensive enough to be adopted as a national standard.
The Framework gives educators a set of common principles to help make school-wide approaches to online safety education a reality, so educators have greater clarity and scope to develop programs relevant and appropriate to your school community.
Along with the Framework, you will find other excellent resources for schools on the e-Safety Commissioner’s website, including their Toolkit for Schools and Classroom Resources.
